@AmandaMarcotte It should also be noted that Elmo & his Hitler Jugend squad have no idea how running a country of 340 million people works. If nobody manages to stop them, their tampering alone - even ignoring the stupid & malicious purposes - is going to make these complex systems, not just of software but of procedure, fall apart. It's like opening an electronic appliance, ripping out random parts because you don't like the color & expecting it to not only keep working, but work better.
