Just a little sidelight on the current Australian political beatup about 'anti-semitism' being used to demonise anyone opposed to Zionist genocidal attacks on Palestinians.
On 11 July 1946 the Melbourne Argus published this letter from Sir Isaac Isaacs, politician, High Court Judge and retired Governor-General. Sir Isaac Isaacs served as the 9th Governor-General of Australia from 1931 to 1936, the first of two Jewish Governors-General.
“With regard to the troubles in Palestine, I have been asked to convey to the Australian people the views of large numbers of Australian citizens of Jewish faith who are opposed to political Zionism, and many of whom have loyally served the Empire in war. We believe political Zionism is a contributor factor to the disorders in Palestine, and a consequent danger to the Empire. I desire to state publicly, in the most unequivocal terms, that we dissociate ourselves from the activities of the Jewish terrorists in that country, and to express wholeheartedly our support of the British Government to restore order. Further, we have full confidence that Britain will, if permitted, carry out peacefully the unanimous recommendations of the Anglo-American Committee, which, of followed in their entirety, would do justice both to the Jews and Arabs.”
When this troubled Australian Zionists, Isaacs expanded in detail, inter-alia remarking
“The majority of Australian Jews, not organised as political Zionists, regard Australia, and not Palestine, as their homeland, and utterly repudiate the doctrine of segregation, which the theory of political Zionism represents.”

@ianmilliss Of course, the Anglo-American Committee got behind the Zionists, and have been their cheer squad and weapons providers, ever since. #BloodyBastards
