So many of the world’s problems are caused by an economical elite who are increasingly estranged from regular people.
Billionaires like Musk, Zuckerberg, Trump, and so on would be infinitely less weird if they like - rode a bike to work. Or had to wait in line at the supermarket. Or even, idk, fly first class on a chartered flight rather than on a private jet.
Instead they’re completely isolating themselves from the consequences of their actions, congratulating themselves all the way through.

There are so many good examples to pull from here too.
For example: in Switzerland everyone takes the train to go around. Why? It’s punctual, clean, and the fastest way to navigate the country. Yes, the ultra wealthy ride first-class. But if the train is delayed, it’s as delayed for them as for the rest of us.

This is why the Covid pandemic been such a traumatizing experience for a lot of the wealthy. Imagine telling yourself you’re a super special boy and you deserve everything in the world, everyone else be damned.
…and then all of a sudden you’re faced with the reality that you too live in a society. Shocking.
