Perseverance dnes opustila místo, kde v solu 1404 obrousila horninu, a opět se vracela po svých stopách. Ujela 106 m a nyní parkuje necelých 6 m od místa, na kterém zastavila po jízdě v solu 1359.

Perseverance dnes 4.2.2025 / sol 1408 popojela necelých 11 m a krátce po jízdě obrousila horninu v pracovním prostoru. Pracovní prostor, ale trochu z jiné strany, má téměř stejný jako v solu 1359.

Omlouvám se za chybu a za nepozornost. Perseverance dnes nic neobrousila. To obroušení horniny pochází ze solu 1360. 🙄

Same abrasion from sol 1360, and as @65dBnoise mentioned, it is possible that this time there will be drilling (I think so too).

Tak dneska to už vypadá, že se snad opravdu začne vrtat. Zatím jsou ale k dispozici jenom snímky vrtačky přiložené k hornině.

Tak na vrtání přece jenom došlo. Teď ještě musíme počkat, až dorazí všechny snímky z CacheCam, jestli v pouzdře zůstal nějaký vzorek.

Stejně jako při minulém odběru vzorku se zdá, že vrták je prázdný, ale tehdy se odběr vzorku nakonec povedl.

To uvnitř vrtáku je dno pouzdra na vzorky. Je tedy prázdné.

In your enhanced image we can see the machining marks at the bottom of the tube. If they have not sealed the tube they can try again to obtain a rock core.

It looks like the serial number of the tube is 060. If they don't cap it we can watch for it being used again.
