@BitchinRob I have been informed this is actually a real life Makinen GSR

@tikibunnyimports @BitchinRob There was a guy here in Houston that built a full LHD clone of one of these from imported parts.

@tikibunnyimports @BitchinRob indeed it absolutely is. It's not a clone. It's the real thing.

The only 'non-Makinen' part is the wheels. Which are EvoVI factory OZ 17's, and a very common replacement due to availability on the Enkei wheels.

This is a real 6.5 TME GSR.

@tikibunnyimports @BitchinRob identifying these is actually a LOT harder than people think, because of the propensity for clones in EU, nevermind wrecks.

But:

@BitchinRob @tikibunnyimports in all seriousness, if you want a TME, PUT YOUR BID IN. NOW.

You are NEVER going to see another one this intact outside of a Sotheby's auction block or similar. And even with the bad photos, it looks to be damn close to immaculate.

@BitchinRob @tikibunnyimports like seriously, there are VERY specific hallmarks I look for. This one has none of them. Even bad photos can't hide them. There is damage to the steering wheel leather, but that's a very easy restoration. (It's not like it's magical leather with unicorn stitching.)

The real secret's the IPC; that's a 180MPH unit. (ALL TMEs are MPH!)

If you told me it had 30,000km on the clock, I would believe it.

@BitchinRob @tikibunnyimports "Wait, wait, wait, what the fuck do you mean, it's an MPH car. That is clearly RHD!"

Man, you'd have to ask Mitsubishi what they were smoking. But if you look, that is an MPH without a km/h secondary.

And I swear to you, you look in the JAPANESE brochures, it is EXACTLY that IPC in MPH with no km/h secondary. km/h was an OPTION.
