My call for European governments to retain at least a core IT/communication/email/file capability that is independent of US clouds. @bert_hubert I try to convey that message whenever possible. Not always appreciated.

Unfortunately your example is a bit too accurate for comfort: e.g. for email lots of govs/large enterprises are so far down the road that it would be very hard to rebuild the lost expertise. So they need to be out of alternatives before acting.
