After supporting #signalapp last year twice with small one time donations I decided to put in for a small monthly donation. After all this will be most likely the messenger I will use predominantly in the foreseeable future.
And I also decided to accept the badge this time. Not to show I pay, but to show one can make donations. The same reason I'm writing this.
This goes for a lot of infrastructure not paid for by (big) companies. If you can afford it, think about donating.
