Short of putting a bullet in the heads of a select group of people, there is really not much any of us can do to “stop this.” It’s not about rushing to stop it; it’s about surviving long enough to find an opening to change things.

Expecting there to be something someone can do, or some move the opposition party can pull, or some senator who is finally convinced by a phone call is a direct line to madness.

Do what you feel helps, whatever that may be. But don’t expect yourself or anyone else to have a true solution.

Anyway, trying my dangdest here to not come across as a doomer. That’s not what this is about.

It’s about setting realistic expectations and bracing for the very real shitstorm we find ourselves in.
