Holy shit, Swift Playgrounds got an update for the first time in what feels like forever! It doesn’t support Swift 6 yet though, and gets screwy with some common (IMO) Swift Packages.

@rhysmorgan Are you sure? I thought they updated to a swift 6 compiler/syntax/whatever.

@mattiem Yeah, it still seems to be using Swift 5.10 – the previous update is what bumped it to Swift 5.10 and iOS 17.5

@mattiem Ah yeah, the compiler is Swift 6! I wonder if there’s a way to switch an app to Swift 6 mode?

@mattiem I don’t think you do, with Swift Playground. Not without moving the folder over to a Mac, and manually editing the Package file?
