1 February 1930 |A French Jewish girl, Mathilde Zameczkowski, was born in Paris.

In August 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber.

@auschwitzmuseum if murdering wasn’t bad enough. But children? This always breaks my heart.

For those not familiar, the ‘selection’ just was saying you are too old or young or infirm to be slave labour so we will kill you now to save the food and bed. That is the TL;DR.
