I have worked with wordpress, and I have worked with Hugo

Hugo is times better than wordpress when it comes to static sites

However, it has a lack of a default option for an editor.

I was considering making a custom plugin for obsidian, but I found DecapCMS

Is there anything like DecapCMS, and if you have used it before, how was the experience?

With Markdown you decide the editor and choose how fancy it should be. I like that idea more than the crappy editor of WordPress.
