Imagine, amidst all this chaos, you get offered a job where all your living expenses are paid, everybody loves you, and you work one day per year. You don't just survive, you're adored and waited on hand and foot. Who doesn't take that deal??
PETA is such an embarrassment. I'm 100% with normal animal groups, but all the animal charity people I know hate PETA and this is why. We all WISH we were Punxsutawney Phil.
