Part of me wonders weather the people here are only saying this doom and gloom stuff because its someone from a party that isn't theirs or its Trump specifically. Most of me believes the former and not the latter because again, all democrats want is their party to win and that's it, no other parties should have power ever and that's how they think. If there was a reasonable republican in office, they'd still say the same stuff, the sky is falling and the world is ending. #Politics, #USPol

@gocu54 No granted I've only really been paying attention since 2000 or so, but when JW Bush was in the whitehouse I don't ever recall hearing "oh my god oh my god we're gonna die." There was a lot of, "I don't agree with his decisions," and a good bit of "he's stupid," but nothing worse than I've heard from Republicans in the past 9 years. I'm curious to know what the day to day culture was like with Reagan.

@Fragglemuppet Sure, some of Bush's decisions were bone-headed, but its not like he was seen as Hitler. I just don't understand this.

@gocu54 @Fragglemuppet you've contradicted yourself. On the one hand you're saying that Bush wasn't seen as Hitler and, on the other hand you're saying that people would react the same whoever the President was if he wasn't one of theirs. I'm not a Democrat, I'm not a Republican. I am based in the UK and admittedly left leaning. Here are a comprehensive list of reasons why Trump has me worried like no other President, including some I consider war criminals.
