It's been less than 2 weeks since the inauguration.

Elon Musk and Trump are already purging the civil service of federal workers deemed insufficiently "loyal" while rewriting/deleting government websites that aren't "in compliance" with Trumpism.

The Nazis had a word for this process of bringing everything into alignment with the leader's ideology:

@ZhiZhu Closely related to Gleichschaltung, in the German-speaking world we also identify Hitler’s “Machtergreifung”, literally “seizure of power”. This term labels the events around 30 January 1933 leading to Hitler and his party taking control of Germany.

Quoting the German Wikipedia entry below as - remarkably - a corresponding English entry doesn’t seem to exist.

@ZhiZhu And, exactly as you say, Trump and his party are now implementing the Gleichschaltung in the US.

We don’t know how well the analogy with the Nazi regime will carry in the weeks and months ahead. It is however alarming to note how fast Hitler and his followers were in implementing their violent regime. So much happened in the very first year.

Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933.

The "Night of the Long Knives" took place from 30 June to 2 July 1934.

So not quite the first year.

Understanding the development of "Gleichschaltung" after inauguration of Hitler you should distinguish several elimination processes. The first was directed against the external opposition who did not vote for Hitlers Chancellorship (until march 1933). The second was directed against opposition within the civil service and the juristical services as lawyers, judges, juristical administrative (from march 1933 on). The third was directed against inner opposition.

The third inner elimination process began with the "night of the long knifes" and targeted in the first line Nazi persons as the leaders of SA, which was a paramilitary nazi troup. BTW they killed, eliminated or detained unconformed persons of public importance as for example former Chancellor Schleicher who was killed or the Prince of Bavaria and his family who were detained. This was to secure Hitlers position as "Führer" focusing all power to this position.

Thank you I will look through it I mean there were a series of actions and what was the action on the 53rd day I've heard this said before that it took less than 3 months

I think that lesson we need to filter that through about our modern days how quickly everything is going that used to go so much more slowly
