@randahl things are grim right now, but a backlash is on the way. Where, what and when, I cannot say. I do know, the third law of motion is inescapable.

But I must add that reaching a state of democracy takes decades, while destroying democracy can happen much faster.

Just look at what happened to Russia with Putin in charge.

@randahl it seems unimaginable that authoritarianism could transform the USA overnight, but here we are. I have to remain optimistic that all of this will turn around someday. My people have been fighting hundreds of years for equal representation. We have stories that predate Europeans arriving here. They tell of the rise and fall of the foreign invaders, and balance being restored. However long it takes and by any needs necessary, I have to believe the words of the Ancestors.

@josuex I really do not wish to be an alarmist, but I am deeply worried for the future of the US. For the first time in my life, I think there is a nonzero chance of a violent outcome.

He is trying to become dictator in a country full of weapons.

@samess it's the exception introduced to camouflage their intentions.

Also, HuffPo never had a DC office, as far as I know, so I wonder if they are even prepared for this.
