Tired of this silicon valley tech oligarchy bullshit. Thinking it's about time to ditch gmail as my sorta catch all stable email address.

What's everyone liking these days?

I'm ok with paying for it. If it's free, that means we're the product not the customer, ya know?

@nicetriangle I see that you have your own domain, so I'd recommend that you use it for your email if you don't already (this way you can always change your provider while keeping your address). I recently moved to https://migadu.com and they seem really great.

@mzdravkov oh yeah I already host my own email for communication stuff but have found it's important to have a second account on a different server and domain for backup purposes and for handling logins and stuff like that. Just in case my hosting or domain name has issues or whatever.

Will check out migadu though, thanks for the recommendation!
