@penfount

Pen repairers/retorers sell fully restored vintage pens. Reputable retailers. Ebay.

What's the best way to find a few on ebay? When I've looked for vintage fountain pens it seems overwhelming and expensive.

@paradoxmo

I'm not sure. I was hoping to see something budget friendly. I was wanting to find something with a good nib. At the time it was for the experience of using an older, used pen. But I didn't want to spend hundreds.

I wouldn't mind knowing a few good accounts to follow for when I feel I want an old fountain pen again. At present I need to enjoy what I have and not chase the dragon. But you know that old itch always returns.

@MyWoolyMastadon @paradoxmo

A few vintage brands thast are budget friendly are Esterbrook J series, Moore, Platignum... Those were smaller brands that were considered 2nd and 3rd tier, but very good quality.

Do you follow any specific accounts? Back when I looked a year ago it looked like people were unloading old, unchecked bundles of pens or expensive collectibles.

I felt lost.

@MyWoolyMastadon @backtoanalog I don’t follow any specific accounts, but I’ve bought a few times from wasupen and they’ve been responsive and had good stuff.
