I'm awake. I've fed Ginza her breakfast.

Slept fairly solid last night, probably because of tiredness from the prior nights of very broken sleep.

Had a long sort of maze and puzzle dream that was quite intense. It was a hopeful kind of dream and in it I said to a woman, "There is magic in this world" and that was referring to what was happening in the dream. But speaking to her I was also speaking to me because she was me as in the dream I was my pre-transition self.

In other stuff, the fingernail polish is still looking good from the job I did Wednesday afternoon. I'm happy that I've finally learned how to do a good job of it.

Today's going to be rainy. The clear and sunny weather pattern has broken.

Ginza, as always, is a very good cat.

No sunshine to bask in for Ginza this morning.

I've still been thinking about that dream from last night. It's been a while since I've had such an explicit sort of transition dream and I feel it was caused by the awfulness of USA politics the past 2 weeks.

It was a dream where I was trying to pep talk to myself. Telling myself that me being trans is very real and very true and I had to do a lot of work to pare away the damage caused to me by traditional views of gender as told by cis people.

Of course what I labeled as work was more about me reading the thoughts and ideas of trans people who already figured things out. So it was more their work than mine really.

Trans people have always existed. We will continue to exist. We are not an ideology or activism. We simply are part of the tapestry of humanity. Let us be the threads that we are.
