@andrewnez How does it look if you use downloads - direct_reverse_deps.map(downloads).max()?

I've found that metric eliminates most non-user-facing helper libraries and unimportant crates that have just one user that happens to be popular.

@kornel this is all dependent oss repos, not just other rust pkgs, also I’m interested in finding the heavily used helper libraries
