The list of sexiest professions has been updated and the top 3 are: healthcare, teaching and emergency services.
I'm sure my legal followers will be delighted that they are in fourth place.
Techies are seventh with 17%! (despite the jokes about undatable geeks, I actually found my profession wasn't an issue for most women when I was using online dating - and I was upfront about what I did / was interested in).

@pwaring I feel like I missed an experience with these dating sites. I've been married now for almost 20 years, and while they existed back then, they weren't really that prevalent (at least as I recall it). There was always a running joke about how dating sites were a million dudes and five women, four of which were just offshore grifters trying to get your bank information and one of which was seriously questioning her life choices.

@mike I used them for about 3 years (2018-2020) and found there was a lot of variance - Match was boring (everyone wanted stereotypical tall dark man with a big salary), Bumble was daft (women make the first move... except they don't) and OkCupid was full of fellow geeks.
All the women I know who used them though had horror stories.

@pwaring Well now techies are the 7th most popular choice of profession, so OkCupid might be the new hotness (says the old guy who hasn't dated in a couple decades).
