Kind of in an in-between space rn. Building stuff and learning stuff but neither has paid off yet in any tangible way. The fear that it never will is real, and so is the need to actively convince myself to believe in the path I chose for myself.

And the stuff I'm learning is computer science fundamentals (SICP) and in-depth Lisp.

The payoff I'm looking for is actual paying customers for my startup, and practical applications for my learning, in the form of new ways to work (I'm trying to disentangle myself from the corporate grind)

@jamesdiacono dang I’m sorry, I just realised I forgot to reply! By new ways of working I mostly mean working on more meaningful and more challenging problems, which the studying I’m doing will hopefully help me do.

@gosha No worries! Your plan sounds great. I made a similar transition but it only worked because I had teammates with business skills, which I lack completely.
