I feel like the way fascism is thought about kind of resembles the way the climate catastrophe is thought about… first “it’s not happening” then suddenly “it’s too late to do anything about it, it’s inevitable now”. And I feel like public discourse is currently shifting towards the latter. And it scares me even more than when this happened with the climate catastrophe.
