when I was young, adults with authority over me loved to tell me that I'd agree with them when I was older, but as I approach 40 they're still wrong and I wish I'd picked more fights with them

My dad was the same, and he was right, though it took until I was 50.

I agreed with him when I finally talked him into voting Labour and supporting unions.
