1. On a walk Monday night, I came across an amateur astronomer excited to use his new telescope to look at Venus (which he showed me through his tablet connected to the telescope; I could see the haze around it) and Jupiter. He was so happy!

2. Last night, my sister and her boyfriend and I watched the EXCELLENT spy movie The Riddle of the Sands with Michael York, Jenny Agutter, and Simon MacCorkindale, set ~1901 with lots of sailing, sneaking, and skullduggery. 3. Got to give my Vietnamese-American team member the afternoon off for Lunar New Year celebrations. It's the Year of the Snake.
