I really, really do want to enjoy German railway services. But having the train stop and evacuate, then being left stranded in some province w/ 600 other people, with no way out other than an overcrowded regular service bus (that runs twice per hour) feels like bullshit.
They specifically sent taxis to recover their personnel.
I arrived 2h30 mins late on a 2h00 ride, incl a 40 minute ride standing in a claustrophobically-full bus.
Last but not least, they're claming force majeure, as someone had an accident down the railway, so I'm paying full price for my experience.
I'm absolutely fine with the risks involved in DB travelling, but leaving us stranded in nowhere, raising a middle finger and THEN cashing in full? Fuck no. At least rent a fucking bus and recover your passengers that can't get away from the station you left them at.
Renting cars is looking very attractive again.
