@insane@outerheaven.club I think the 50 vs. 60 Hz refresh rate was something more related to legacy NTSC/PAL standards and those rates coming from the frequency of the electrical grid in the parts of the world where those analog TV standards were created.
Nowadays, when computers are ubiquitous (that includes phones and any kind of flat screen TV, smart or not), the 50/60 Hz frame rate thing is irrelevant. The computer can adapt to whatever it comes (unlike analog TV sets, where specifically designed electronic timing circuits were expensive for the time).

@cinnamon There was also a 3rd standard, SECAM; which also, used to use the 50 Hz line. Notably used by France and the USSR.
