Three scenes from a trip to Norway in the summer of 2024. It was a fascinating landscape, not least because it represents a visage of what the glens and mountains of Scotland should look like. A cacophony of mountain birch, aspen, juniper, and dwarf willow - all species that should be common in Scotland - racing up the mountainsides. Interspersed with waterfalls too? Phew!

@rscottjones thanks! it's well worth a trip but definitely try to get off the tourist track. we found lots of peace and quiet once you went down a random fjord or into a town where the cruise ships cant get to.

@murraylivingston We had a three week campervan trip booked to explore the coastline last September, but canceled when we pulled the trigger on a much more ambitious 100-day overseas trip instead (we’re in Singapore now on day 68).
Funny enough, we made friends with a Norwegian couple while on a overlanding safari trip in Africa in Dec, so I’m hoping we can reschedule for 2026 and visit them too.

@rscottjones sounds awesome! I lived in Singapore for 8 years - definitely make sure you get to the hawkers for satay and chicken rice with a nice cold Tiger! Where did you overland in Africa?

@murraylivingston Singapore seems nice so far, though we've only been to the airport and hotel (we arrived just as we were getting sick, so have been hunkering down the last two days).
We did a 24-day tour from Johannesburg thru Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Tanzania, ending in Zanibar.
