[#]DeepSeek AI won't chat about Tiananmen Square since it's #MadeIn_China. Of course only most ignorant people will complain if they receive a profound gift like a #cloud-independent #FOSS_AI model for #Linux #Windows & #MacOS...

No surprise that loudest voices are almost exclusively coming from the #USA, but that's #venturecapital & #siliconvalley related. Somehow, I haven't heard them when #OpenAI refused to answer questions about #USpol. So it seems like #USpatriots enjoy to pay the #SaaS price for #enshitification of the #land_of_the_fee.

Even when training data isn't disclosed, the #MIT license is almost as good as #copyleft...

I'd say #chatGPT needs to man up soon. Otherwise, it will be replaced by #AI. That's humiliating for #SamuelAltman #fanboys, but the irony — #priceless!

@gfkdsgn yes, the only perhaps somewhat sensible solution is to always ask, by a mirror method, of AI learned according to the narrative of one power party, about the political fauls of the other power party - and hope that after a while they don't agree and don't cover up everything :-)

Indeed @sunkawitko. Since you mentioned #coverups this video by @TheDialecticalCommunist could confuse #chatGPT even when it's analysis of the #Gaza #genocide was more precise than all of #MSM talking heads.

@gfkdsgn

well, it's hard for me personally to tell just from the video which version of the story about the square is closer to the truth, so now I'll just know that there are two stories about the event. In truth, I don't know the "official" Western story exactly, so I guess I can't make a good assessment of the "official" Chinese story either.

But the different perception of "reality" tends to be even in another less important situacions. I have a few friends from China - when we were discussing the topic of whether or not it was forbidden to have more than one child in China, my Chinese friends also argued amongst themselves about it, because everyone came from a different province, where there were probably different rules - for example one girl from big Beijing was supposedly not legally allowed to have siblings, another girl from a provincial "small" city of 5million people was already allowed to have siblings (she has 2 brothers). And then people in the so-called West can argue endlessly about this topic, if even the Chinese don't agree on it :-)

I'll probably ask them sometime too about what information they have from their families about the events on that square, just for my curiosity which story they acknowledge.

@gfkdsgn ...but I find it rather strange how some people who claim to be communists are positivly fascinated with China - because if we take the parameters of what communism should be (some its basic definitions), than system what is in China has nothing more to do with communism than the name.

But if I call shit "ice cream", I'm not going to change the composition of that shit to ice cream...@TheDialecticalCommunist

@gfkdsgn @sunkawitko

In this video, released recently by the state run Chinese channel CGTN, it is explained how Marxism is an important part of China today both culturally and politically.

There never was a country with communism afaik. On the other hand shitocracy of capitalism exists — surveillance feudalism is a reality that needs to be dealt with.

The question might be: do you @sunkawitko use Linux or Windows, and why?

Do you @airwhale remember seeing him in front (and/or on top) of the tank?

@gfkdsgn

I didn't see him on TOP of the tank, but I vividly recall him moving sideways several times as the tank was trying to drive around him.

Attaching a simple image I made in a 3D app 25 years ago of the same subject matter.

Yes @airwhale same over here. Took me years to discover the full video/story. Had to see what #CNN published about the event on YT a decade ago...
