This fucking constant chaos and upheaval and vague statements from #TFG and his Office are by DESIGN.

They want everyone freaking out, so people don't see the real shit going on behind the scenes.

They are testing the will of their political party and their voters.

So far, nothing they've done seems to be upsetting the average GOP voter, as far as I can see, at least.

My daughter and her wife had to talked down from packing go bags. She is trans, and my daughter is teacher and the news of states allowing taxpayer money to go to private (religious) schools has her very worried about her career.

It took me 20 minutes of reassuring them, and some of what I said sounded hollow.

We do live in a very blue, safe state, though in our next town over ICE took people yesterday.

Fuck me. I'm too old for this constant worry.

@Sfwmson i hear you. i'm trying not to freak out too. been avoiding the news as much as possible. i'm to the point of calling my congress members. not something i have time to do. not even sure how you do that but i guess i'll need to figure that out.

don't know if it will have an effect but someone has to do something and barring pitchforks in the street, i am out of ideas

Resist in every small and big way we can. And be there for those under attack.

I've stopped following any news site that normalizes or talks about these things in a glib "well this is what happened today" manner.

@Sfwmson doing what i can for now. like you i am lucky to be in a blue state. my 18 year old self would already be in the streets but i'm way too old for that my knee is still killing me after 2 days and all i did was sleep on it wrong 😂
