COPE, another left-wing party in municipal politics here, hasn't declared a candidate yet, they are having a nomination meeting on Feb 2. OneCity just appointed their candidate rather than having an open nomination process, hence being ahead of things a bit.

@carkner it's nice that OneCity didn't even bother to have a nomination race. Because they blatantly cheated (in a very racist way) in their last race, to get the nominations their board wanted. This time they just put the white lady in the spot without any fuss at all. Nice.

@carkner if you like the BC NDP and its policies, you'll love its double A farm team OneCity. Ask her to say anything critical about the provincial government, though, and the question won't get an answer. It's David Eby you'd be voting for, if you vote for her. And the sign is that there was no race. Just as with Eby. The BC NDP hate elections, because they despise the electorate.

@ellouis even as someone who has been a OneCity donor/voter at times, I wasn't aware of her, but per comments on r/vancouver she's known locally for advocating about street safety and cycling stuff and the District Parent Advisory council
