@NyakoKitty Twenty years ago, when our daughters were little, we were jaded with the UK and seriously considered emigrating to California. Until our several American friends convinced us that the USA they predicted in the future wasn't somewhere safe to bring up children.

What foresight they had! I’m from Florida and my husband is British, when deciding where we would choose to live I chose the UK which I felt would be much safer for my husband. Been here since 2011. Is the UK perfect…no…but it is definitely not like the US and I’m happy to be here.
