Reminder to anyone who needs this: You are allowed to filter things on your social media. You're allowed to filter out things that trigger you, stress you out, make you anxious, or otherwise effect you negatively. You're not required to carry the weight of the world and the society you live in. It's okay to filter out news, politics, keywords associated to things, whatever! It's okay to cut those things out if you can't or don't care to see them. Please take care of yourselves, and create the timelines that are right for you. Do not stress about baring all of the world's problems, because quite honestly, that's not your responsibility, and you have every right to cut them out. @Kaliah I don't use the web mastodon things much. I much prefer dedicated clients for these sorts of things. It is possible to filter using Mona. I just need to learn how.

@Kaliah True up to a point, but one might argue that, by doing so, when your best friend gets deported or your federal assistance suddenly stops, the complete surprise it comes as and the complete unpreparedness that comes with it might be even more triggering and damaging.
