I'd like a new kind if hashtag #filter for Mastodon.

Not by any specific hashtag, but by hashtag count.

If your post has more than 3, let's be generous 5, hashtags it is spam.

And I hate it, probably because I'm getting old and never understood what's cool about instashit.

@Garonenur this coin has two sides: more hashtags also means you can catch them better with filters.

Or that you can follow more specifically - there seem to be some who only want to see very specific genres in photos, for example (that's why I'm rather specific with my photo account and use lots of tags)

But of course none of this contradicts your wish - there are some cases where I wanted it too, but then I just mute the account overdoing it 🤷
