Disgraceful. I couldn't believe this was real, #Google's swift, eager embrace of a demand that was preposterous 24 hours ago.

The most powerful men in the world lending an oar to the fascist ship is both entirely believable and entirely revolting.

They are your enemies, if you are not a fascist. So let's act like it. It's gonna get real uncomfortable, folks. Self-preservation requires stripping as much power from these men as possible. The internet will feel harder.

Google is also going to call AK's Denali "Mt McKinley," - a short-lived rebrand pushed in the 19th c.by white colonists (gold diggers).

Google & Trump are going against the expressed will of the AK state leg & against objections by AK's GOP governor & BOTH of AK's GOP Senators.

US govt tried to rename Denali in 1917 as Mt. McK, but Alaskans still called it Denali. In 1975 AK state legislature asked the fed govt to recognize it as Denali - blocked by an Ohio congressman for McK's home town:

I'm wondering if he will demand map makers change the Chinese city to Peking and that Indian one to Bombay.

To make it really annoying, no matter what happens with politics, we will have to endure a decade or two of "Gulf of America" or "Gulf of Mexico" being cultural/ideological markers.

And I would never hire a former google employee. Their job choice tells you everything you need to know about their ethics and character.
