the internal jensen worship culture is bizarre as hell
their "solution in search of a problem" mentality wrt ai, particularly features which I think make games markedly worse (framegen) is deeply disappointing
so hopefully this big dip can hopefully temper the former and bring the latter's focus back into reality

@superfunc The stock market reaction is puzzling to say the least. Nvidia makes the hardware, they don't care if one model is more efficient. There will always be a bigger one around the corner.
That might be a problem for OpenAI or others. Not for the hardware vendor.

@wolfpld yeah you may be right here, I am very inexperienced with respect to economics. I'd just hope if it is a problem for things like opena* , it may guide their GPU work in a better direction.

@superfunc Yeah, their very creative ways of selling a 10% perf boost (by pumping in more power) as a 3x frame rate increase have gotten pretty tiresome lately.
