Done moving 😩 Didn't get a chance to check the place during the week, so when I arrived I found out I'm not plugged into the grid...

My contract with Fortum.fi was valid from early last week, so this took me by surprise. Fortum, naturally, doesn't accept calls on Sundays, and it took some help to figure out that I should have been calling Helen.fi instead. Apparently they don't activate the contract automatically unless the main switch in the apartment is in OFF

Last night the guy on the line told me it's "the Finnish law" they don't plug you into the grid unless the switch is off or there's somebody home. I said "ok call you in the morning", and in the morning I come back to the electrically lit flat and the buzzing of the freezer? Bruh I almost believed you for a moment

@nobody I've never heard about such law or convention. Always had had electricity contract activated when requested. And besides, it is their responsibility to inform you if they are not going to abide the contract.
