Gosh that meeting when you try to explain your design but can't quite find your words 😬

Was difficult to understand the client by email and I was so scared to not understand them in real life too...

@amxmln My manager said they could feel I was stressed but it turned out ok. I just know I can do better than that.

I'm at a loss of designer feedback on my work to be honest. I think I'm gonna try finding a mentor in the next few months, as I'm a junior and nobody else does design at my company. What do you think? 😊

@vdvestelle I can imagine that being a very tough situation. 😅 Looking for a mentor might be a good idea. 😊

Also, I’m sure practice makes perfect. When I studied design, giving and receiving feedback was something we had to do constantly, it feels like more than anything else. 😅

@amxmln It's weird though because I worked in marketing for ten years, I've done online conferences and I've also presented in front of at least 50 people. But that particular client... Really don't know why I was so stressed out 😅 Maybe because I'm not confident enough in my design skills yet.

@vdvestelle I think that might be it, if you still feel like a junior on the inside, a tough client can make it hard to project confidence outward, which in turn the client might sense, making them push harder.

Don’t let yourself be dragged down by this experience though! There’s so much at play, maybe today just wasn’t your day. 😊
