The older I get, the more often thoughts related to death seems to appear.
Mostly as thoughts of those who only live on as fond memories in my head, and the loss of that love, their love.
One day I too will be a thing of the past…

For me death became very close real early in life, so I do think about it in many ways, and have been through the years. I think it is sad that we don't talk more about death in western world culture. I think we need that to feel more alive.

@ambivalena I just yesterday listend to Waldruna - Helvegen....If you know it, at the end, they quote Håvamål verse 76 and 77 and thought about what lives on, when you're no longer there. Your picture just added another dimension to that. Thank you!

Yes. The facts of life include the fact of death. Apparently others have been and are better prepared than Europeans and Americans who try very much to avoid the topic, like e. g. Tibetan people with their Bardo Thodol.

Yes very much so, we seems to see that we can avoid death if we don´t think or talk about it. A bit sad and it also makes it hard to cope with in a way it doesn´t have to be.
