I forgot you'd been here for a while. That was my first time to visit. It was quite barren but I don't know... all the oaks, the golden, sleeping brush and grass... just feels like home to me. I liked it a lot.

I'm gonna try to go back in March or April when things start blooming. Hoping there'll be a bunch of bluebonnets.

@WrenArcher omg that's the best time of year in central tx. did you know lady bird johnson is the one who stopped any billboards from being built on mopac so that people could enjoy the landscape? the highway dept keeps the grass along the road seeded with wildflowers.

I didn't know that about the billboards.

And yes, definitely... the hill country is so, so nice in the spring. But it can be a short window. I used to go to the Kerrville Folk Fest at the end of May and by then it's already hot.
