Meantime, I'm in Helsinki and packing stuff (most of which is the kitchen, but also a few books and the e-waste I use for homeservers) for moving from Jatkasaari to Herttoniemi

Done moving 😩 Didn't get a chance to check the place during the week, so when I arrived I found out I'm not plugged into the grid...

My contract with Fortum.fi was valid from early last week, so this took me by surprise. Fortum, naturally, doesn't accept calls on Sundays, and it took some help to figure out that I should have been calling Helen.fi instead. Apparently they don't activate the contract automatically unless the main switch in the apartment is in OFF

Just noticed that firmware (American Megatrends) on one of the machines goes into some kind of limbo state when powered on without a monitor connected, maybe doesn't even reach the bootloader
