I sometimes wonder (when I'm people watching from a soggy steamed up cafe window) at the international tourists and the magical little quests they take themselves studiously along to follow random historical folk on wee journeys down supposedly ancient little roads now sadly occupied by Wetherspoons, Ladbrokes, nail bars and bubble tea shops.

WINCHESTER: More fun for tourists than working class residents.

This I note, sipping my sadly caffeine absent oatmilk barista made potion, should be under the city sign as coaches trundle in to the Park and Rides on the outer limits of the pigeon poop painted town centre.

@Silversnapples sounds like the Old Town of Edinburgh, where almost 50 shops are run by the same brothers.

Then there’s Pizza Hut & Starbucks.
