Toot

Xcode 16.2 is barely usable on my 2020 MacBook Air M1 now: builds take forever, Xcode crashed twice this afternoon and autocomplete is slow af. It's just embarrassing at this point.

Please don't tell me that 4 years is a lot for a computer, it's clearly enough to run Android Studio, IntelliJ and more at the same time with no impact on my productivity.

This is so frustrating.

@Palleas Same in my M2 Max. It’s not a hardware problem.

Friday I had multiple crashes where Xcode would hang right after launching my app. A reboot fixed it. But autocomplete is essentially unusable even in small projects.

@Palleas is it 16gb? for me RAM has been hugely limiting - my intel with 64gb handles Xcode better than my M1 with 16gb :( oh how I miss being able to upgrade Apple devices

@notjosh yeah I’m at 16, I should have gotten more but RAM is so expensive at Apple 😩
