am I wrong in thinking that content creators are kind of a form of digital sharecroppers? these big ass platforms offer them "land" (infrastructure) to stream/share but require the tenants to pay large portions (30-50%) of their output to continue using the platform. at a very abstract level it's not too dissimilar to metayage, right?
