@Mastodon hi, is it possible to quote a toot as in twitter, instead of just boosting it ? I wanted to add information to a toot not mine but I was only able to copy the link to the original post and share it, if I wanted to do so (or boost again but this would bring the toot twice in my timeline and I did not want to do so to not annoy people reading me). But by this way, the account of the cited toot was not able to know that I was interested about their content, which i find ... unfortunate.

(now I wonder if a common software were you configure options like quotation or likes or other things for each instance, would not be better instead of creating multiple kind of softwares and spending time and efforts separetely)

@lexi I am not sure to understand how identities of users has to do with the conceptions of common features. I understand that each community has needs but these needs could be also the same as an other one, therefore a common software with parametrizations.

I am curious, is there something specific in Sharkey for transfems ?
