Y'all I'm going to be honest. The noise is getting to me. I'm really discouraged and having trouble working.

I'm just going to note that this is the point. It is the affect of capitalism and fascism to make one feel hopeless.

I'll get around it. But I'll level with you, right now it's working on me at the moment.

@MichaelTBacon In that case it's time to change the way you use media. Consuming a constant stream of bad news one can't do anything about only helps those who want to keep people down and discouraged.

Yeah this isn't the media, this is news from my work and from my friends' and relatives' work about their whole livelihoods and labors of love being thrown into chaos and threatened with being shut down. This is about what happens if all NIH funding suddenly goes wonky and not only does it kill my job, it kills the jobs of a good thousand people in my general field in my city, making it extremely difficult for me to get another job quickly.

So kindly STFU with the context-free sermon

@tg9541 I realize you're trying to be helpful but this isn't just a media phenomenon. This is directly threatening a lot of us.

You could have come in with curiosity but you came in with unsolicited advice.
