My great friend @stoopt did her PhD about the Vula operation during apartheid in South Africa. The systemic erasure of women and gender dissidents from the documentation of how technologies are made is crazy, more so in this case with such an important liberatory tecnology. I look forward to more work from @stoopt that will give back to women their role in making this amazing system work, either at the forefront of implementing this technology, either by holding the space in the 'parallel struggle of the family waged by women and children' (Professor Fatima Meer).

If you are curious about this Vula operation, you should be, because it is an amazing chapter in the history of social movements creating the technologies they need to advance their struggle and achieve social and racial justice.
