whatever is the politically correct term for "what the fucking fuck". If you're proposing specific terms for laws about shit, words and numbers mean things etc

βThis proposal reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of Class 3 e-bikes and their users.β
also this ableist BS: βIβm really most concerned with the full throttle bike, where you have no requirement to do any type of physical assist,β Prozanski said. βWhy would we be allowing a fully motorized, non human assist bike to utilize those paths?β
"courtesy" π
also if you were doing a stupid lawmaker phrases drinking game, here is "I have friends who have e-bikes" π€£

@enobacon Meanwhile, in DC, there are people riding scooters and (I recently saw) an internal combustion retrofitted bicycle on our bike paths.
There will always be assholes. Build more bike paths to spread them out more.
If bikes were far more common then it wouldn't be a stretch to see enforcement occur. But until then...
Though I have no idea how people would cycle with the icy crap we've had on roads and paths lately. I'm stuck not using my bike for the foreseeable.

@elight to get people out of their cars, transportation departments need to prioritize maintenance of a usable network 24 x 365.25-ish. I've seen some say Minneapolis does well, maybe there are other good north american examples which prove that our particular snowflakes are not special enough to require cars. #BikeTooter

@enobacon @elight Edmonton tries. Kinda suckily compared to many European places but it's definitely used, including by me.
What's interesting to me is that clearing of recreational paths in parks seems uncontroversial but carbrains rage hard once they notice a bike lane running along a road getting plowed.
