Terrestrial Weather
Severe weather has begun to hit the British Isles with a brief tornado being reported near Newquay in Cornwall which caused damage to roofs and vehicles. A very active and thundery sqwall line passed through the south-west on Thursday morning.
Storm Éowyn continues to roll in from the Atlantic, with a forecast central pressure of below 940mB. Peak winds should be reaching Ireland very early on Friday.
Stormy weather continues into next week with a series of smaller low pressures spinning around the main area. The Met Office has issued a number of red and amber warnings for the UK.
