Got a paper accepted in Journal of the Royal Society Interface (not published yet). We submitted before I was aware of the Musk Fellowship and the @deevybee debacle. Getting a paper accepted is usually great news, but this one comes with a sour aftertaste.. this is how it must feel to drive a Tesla these days. 🥴

@mszll @deevybee I don't know. Getting money out of that nazi for goodness? Take it, and fight against him!
As for Tesla drivers? hmmmm...the signs were there for a long time. Yes, many of my friends have them, and I'm open about my involuntary to walk very slowly across the crosswalk if I see a Tesla. I'm not throwing eggs. I'm just walking a little more slowly...only costing them seconds.

@mszll @deevybee And yes, I've told friends that if they were the Tesla driver, I would still walk more slowly as they wait for me to get across the crosswalk.
By the way, I live in San Francisco.

@mszll @deevybee Meeting up with friends, and they complain that I insisted on sitting outside, and the place has blankets, and I insist on sitting outside because I am still covid-cautious as a recent cancer survivor (and pay attention)...and we're walking and I mention how I can't walk anything but slowly in front of a Tesla...and they say 'we have a Tesla'...and I say 'well I guess I'll be walking slow in front of you too!'
Silence
