My fire toolbox:
FIRMS: satellite detected heat data, satellite images including smoke
https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/
Bushfire.io: satellite heat data, wind, fire related aircraft, impact areas, evacuation areas and road closures all on one map. Created by survivors. Its capacity it not unlimited and it's used by some firefighters on the ground, so be mindful and don't hang out on it unnecessarily, especially if it's seeming glitchy.

Windy.com:
Up to date granular visualisations of weather, good for storms and wind events. Info rich pretty UI, if you need to do a disaster information doomspiral, this is the place.
https://www.windy.com
Flight tracker: doesn't show all firefighting aircraft, but handy anyway.

@coolandnormal In Victoria the Emergency Vic site is worth knowing. Similar info to the bushfire.io site, but it's the official government one (the ap for your phone is a must for camping, as it gives you alerts for incidents and fires near you)
https://emergency.vic.gov.au/respond/
I'm guessing there's similar sites for other states.
